Cockburn's Special Reserve was originally introduced in 1969 as the first great Reserve Port, creating an entirely new Port category that was fundamental to the success of Port and the Douro over the following decades. Cockburn's Special Reserve is a very fine wine selected for its richness and concentration, from the finest vineyards in the Upper Douro and matured in oak casks for five years. This 10 Year Old Port is smooth, well balanced and mature and is ready for drinking now. Dow's 10 Years Old Tawny has a bright tawny colour. One of the best kept secrets in Australia. Galway Pipe was named after the governor of South Australia from 1914-1920, Sir Henry Galway. He would visit the winery and select the finest 'pipes' (500 Litre barrels) of Grand Tawny. This Grand Tawny is aged in oak barrels for an average of 12 years, and is an exquisite and rich blend of character filled varieties. Notes of dark dried fruit, raisins, dried pears, grilled nuts and spicy, toasty oak. Sweetness and acidity perfectly balanced.

This wine is fine deep tawny colour, with complex nutty aromas combined with hints of honey and figs. On the palate, rich mature fruit flavours, beautifully mellowed and a luscious long finish. Taste slightly chilled to appreciate the full complexity and sensuous pleasure of this wine.
